字问第一： “世纪” 一词 是何时进入汉语的？

"世" 的原义是三十年。在古代，它的正体字是 “卋”： 上 “十”， 下 “廿”，会意为 “三十”。 "世" 实为俗字。

且不辩"世" 与“卋” 之间的正与俗，我最想弄明白的问题是： 以 “世纪” 一词来表达“一百年” 的概念，其中蕴含了一个词义变化，因为“世”的本义是三十年; 那么，这个词义突变是发生在何时呢？在历史上，谁最先用“世纪”一词表示“一百年”的？
